10 Foolproof Tips to Brighten those Eyes!

Tired? Hungover? Jetlagged? 10 foolproof tips to brighten those eyes.

1. Eyedrops are in every make up artists kits, a few drops of Optrex will give you 8 hours sleep.

2. Had a heavy night, sleeping with an extra pillow prevents fluid from gathering in the sockets and can help bags.

3. Get the circulation going, by placing two cold teaspoons (previously chilled in the fridge), onto your eyes, this instantly refreshens and doesn't cost a penny. Alternatively the old trick of sliced cucumber or potatoes will also do the trick!

4. Wear sunglasses, why do celebs seem to live in them - simple, they hide redness, lines and a slick of lippy or gloss and noone will be none of the wiser!

5. Touch Éclat, my favourite wonder eye product, use lightly underneath the eye, inner and outer corners to airbrush any dark circles.

6. Eye creams are great, but steer clear of too heavy creams which can cause milia (tiny white spots under the eyes).

7. A DIY eye massage, is great for draining the sinuses and fluids. Always work using your ring finger and gently pat under the socket up and around the brow bone, press more firmly near your inner corner to drain excess fluid.

8. Cut out caffeine, salt and red wine, all toxins which can build up the fluid resulting in puffiness.

9. Brown mascara can make eyes look tired, where as navy mascara and eyeliner gives a wide awake look, and is not as harsh as black.

10. Use a white or flesh colour pencil on the inner rim to make the white of your eyes brighter.

Finally and not really a tip but really common sense, try as hard as you can to get more sleep, with the exception of those that have babies, there really is no excuse!
