Bvlgari is an Italian Luxury Goods design house founded by Sotirios Voulgaris. For those who have always wondered, the company name is a derivative of the founder’s last name and the letter V in the word is the Latin classic alphabet character for U and this is why the word is pronounced Bulgari. Originally famed for its magnificent jewellery, they expanded to include watches, accessories, handbags, hotels and of course fragrances. Their first fragrance was Eau Parfumee au The Vert and was released in 1992. Since then they have produced many more which include Aqua Marine, BLV, Bulgari Black and Jasmin Noir.
