Vivienne Westwood is a UK-based fashion designer best known for creating the look of the original punk rock movement in the 1970s. Westwood began life as a primary school teacher who earned money on the side with her original jewelry designs. She met musician and entrepreneur Malcolm McClaren (who would manage bands like the Sex Pistols) and the two opened a boutique together. Taking inspiration from underground biker and fetish cultures, they offered unusual clothing made of leather and rubber, and featured spikes, chains, safety pins and razor blades. The shop and its clothing became popular with the rising youth culture that would eventually be known as punk. From there the brand has evolved from clothing to accessories and fragrance. There are now 11 Vivienne Westwood scents which include Mon Boudoir and Sunny Alice.
